Urgent Fire Restriction Information!

County Restrictions:
Pursuant to Grant County Fire Code Ordinance No. 14-02, the Grant County Fire Management Officer finds that there are currently severe and/or extreme drought conditions and a state of fire emergency. Consequently, fire restrictions are in effect. Learn more!

Town of Silver City Restrictions:
The Town of Silver City has declared a state of fire emergency due to extreme drought and weather conditions. Learn more!

Forest Service Restrictions:
The Gila National Forest has implemented Stage 2 Fire Restrictions, beginning June 6, and in addition has raised the Fire Danger to Extreme. These additional fire restrictions will remain in effect until forest officials determine that conditions have changed sufficiently to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfire. Learn more!
